Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking mobile Retail Security Officers to support multiple supermarket locations. You will provide a visible security presence, deter theft, and protect people, property and stock while delivering excellent customer service.

This dynamic role requires flexibility to travel between sites, respond to incidents, and support sites based on operational needs. DBS and SIA clearance are mandatory, and a valid UK driving licence with access to a vehicle is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have Right to Work in the UK and be able to pass an enhanced DBS and BS7858 security clearance.
• A valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding) and relevant security experience.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-profile security presence to deter theft and incidents across stores.
• Conduct regular patrols of shop floors, entrances, and perimeters.
• Monitor CCTV systems and identify suspicious activity in real time.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies quickly and effectively.
• Carry out searches in line with policy and legal requirements.
• Liaise with store management to address risks and support loss prevention strategies.
• Prepare clear incident reports promptly and accurately.
• Deliver professional customer service and assist with queries when required.
• De-escalate confrontations calmly and safely.
• Ensure health & safety, legal, and client-specific procedures are followed.
• Travel between sites as required and support wider security operations.
