Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking Mobile Retail Security Officers to support multiple supermarket locations. You will protect people, property, and stock while delivering excellent customer service and acting as a visible deterrent to crime.

The role requires flexibility to cover different stores and sites, with incidents and emergencies handled promptly. The ideal candidate holds a valid SIA Licence (DS or Guarding), has the right to work in the UK, and can pass DBS and BS7858 checks.

Qualifications

• Strong observation and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Flexibility to work across multiple locations and varied shifts.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Right to Work in the UK and able to pass enhanced DBS and BS7858 clearance.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-profile security presence to deter theft and incidents across multiple stores.
• Carry out regular patrols of shop floors, entrances and perimeters.
• Monitor CCTV and identify suspicious activity in real time.
• Respond quickly to incidents, alarms and emergencies.
• Carry out searches in line with policies and legal requirements.
• Liaise with store management to address risks and support loss prevention.
• Produce clear incident reports in a timely manner.
• Deliver professional customer service and assist with queries.
