Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking Mobile Retail Security Officers to support multiple supermarket locations across the UK. In this dynamic role you will deter theft, protect people and stock, patrol stores, monitor CCTV, and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

You will travel between sites as required, covering evenings, weekends and bank holidays. The role requires flexibility, a proactive attitude and strong communication to work across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK and ability to pass enhanced DBS and BS7858.
• Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding) with relevant security experience.
• Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle.
• Retail security or customer-facing experience preferred.
• Strong observation and decision-making skills.
• Confident handling confrontation and conflict situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Reliable, proactive and professional attitude.
• Willingness to work across multiple locations and varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-profile security presence to deter theft and incidents.
• Conduct regular patrols across shop floors and perimeters.
• Monitor CCTV and identify suspicious activity in real time.
• Respond quickly to incidents, alarms and emergencies.
• Carry out searches in line with policy and law.
• Liaise with store management to address risks and loss prevention.
• Produce clear incident reports promptly.
• Deliver professional customer service and assist queries.
• De-escalate situations calmly and safely.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, legal and client procedures.
• Travel between sites as required and support wider security operations.
