Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is looking for professional Mobile Retail Security Officers to support multiple supermarket locations. You will provide a visible security presence, deter theft, protect people, property, and stock, and deliver excellent customer service.

Flexibility to travel between sites as required is essential. Ideal candidates hold an SIA licence (DS or guarding), an enhanced DBS, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Must have Right to Work in the UK and ability to pass an enhanced DBS and BS7858 security clearance.
• A valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding) and relevant security experience.
• Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle.
• Willingness to work across multiple locations and varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-profile security presence to deter theft and incidents.
• Conduct regular patrols across shop floors, entrances, and perimeters.
• Monitor CCTV systems and identify suspicious activity in real time.
• Respond quickly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
• Carry out searches in line with policies and legal requirements.
• Liaise with store management to address risks and support loss prevention.
• Produce clear incident reports in a timely manner.
• Deliver a professional customer experience and assist queries.
• De-escalate situations calmly and safely.
