Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking professional Mobile Retail Security Officers to support multiple supermarket locations. The role is dynamic, with travel between sites and incident response duties on offer.

You will deter retail crime, protect people and stock, and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. DBS/BS7858 and an SIA licence are essential, with flexibility for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have the Right to Work in the UK and be able to pass an enhanced DBS and BS7858 clearance.
• A valid SIA Licence (DS or Security Guarding) and relevant security experience.
• Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle.
• Previous experience in retail security or customer-facing roles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-profile security presence to deter theft and protect people and property.
• Conduct regular patrols across store floors, entrances and perimeters.
• Monitor CCTV and identify suspicious activity in real time.
• Respond quickly to incidents, alarms and emergencies.
• Carry out searches in line with company policies and legal requirements.
• Liaise with store management to address risks and support loss prevention.
• Produce accurate incident reports promptly.
• Deliver professional customer service and assist with queries as needed.
• De‑escalate challenging situations calmly and safely.
• Travel between sites and support wider security operations.
