Job summary

T3AM Global in Manchester is seeking a hands-on Retail Operations Manager to oversee daily operations across multiple supermarkets in the North West. You will work with Store Managers to improve performance, service, stock control and profitability.

The role focuses on implementing group-wide procedures, new systems (EPOS, inventory management) and clear reporting, delivering measurable improvements and supporting management teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail operations, area management, multi-site management or senior supermarket management.
• Strong experience within supermarkets, grocery retail, food retail or a closely related environment.
• Proven ability to manage operational performance and lead retail management teams.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of store profitability, stock management and operational costs.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Confidence working with sales reports, operational KPIs and management information.
• Ability to travel regularly between supermarket locations across the North West.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day operational performance across multiple supermarket locations.
• Supporting, coaching and developing Store Managers to improve performance and accountability.
• Monitoring sales, profitability, staffing, stock control, wastage and operational KPIs.
• Introducing consistent store standards, operating procedures and performance reporting.
• Identifying operational inefficiencies and implementing practical improvements across stores.
• Supporting the rollout of new EPOS, inventory management and centralised operational systems.
• Working closely with senior management to deliver group-wide improvement initiatives and business objectives.
