Job summary

T3AM Global in Manchester is seeking a hands-on Retail Operations Manager to oversee daily operations across multiple supermarkets in the North West. You will work with Store Managers to improve performance, service, stock control and profitability.

The role focuses on implementing group-wide procedures, new systems (EPOS, inventory management) and clear reporting, delivering measurable improvements and supporting management teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail operations, area management, multi-site management or senior supermarket management.
• Strong experience within supermarkets, grocery retail, food retail or a closely related environment.
• Proven ability to manage operational performance and lead retail management teams.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of store profitability, stock management and operational costs.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Confidence working with sales reports, operational KPIs and management information.
• Ability to travel regularly between supermarket locations across the North West.

Supermarket Operations | Multi-Site Management | Store Performance | £40,000-£50,000

The company

T3AM Global is recruiting on behalf of one of the UK's established ethnic supermarket chains, with a significant presence across the North West.

The business operates multiple supermarket locations, offering customers a wide range of international groceries, fresh produce, halal meat and everyday essentials.

As part of its continued investment in operational excellence and business modernisation, we are looking to recruit an experienced Retail Operations Manager to oversee and improve performance across multiple supermarket locations.

This is an opportunity to join an established retail group and play an important role in developing its store operations, management teams and operational standards.

The role

As the Retail Operations Manager, you will take responsibility for supporting and improving day-to-day operations across multiple supermarket locations.

Working closely with the Head of Retail Operations & Transformation, you will ensure that stores operate efficiently, consistently and profitably, with clear standards and accountability across management teams.

You will work directly with Store Managers to improve commercial performance, customer service, stock management, staffing and operational processes.

A key focus will be implementing new group-wide procedures, systems and performance measures, ensuring that operational improvements are successfully introduced and maintained across every location.

This is a hands-on multi-site management role requiring someone who enjoys working closely with store teams, solving operational challenges and delivering measurable improvements.

What you need

It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

• Previous experience in retail operations, area management, multi-site management or senior supermarket management
• Strong experience within supermarkets, grocery retail, food retail or a closely related environment
• Proven ability to manage operational performance and lead retail management teams
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of store profitability, stock management and operational costs
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
• Confidence working with sales reports, operational KPIs and management information
• Ability to travel regularly between supermarket locations across the North West

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

• Previous experience as an Area Manager, Regional Operations Manager or Multi-Site Retail Manager
• Experience managing large-format supermarkets or high-volume grocery stores
• Knowledge of ethnic supermarkets, international groceries or fresh food retail
• Experience implementing new operating procedures, systems or change management initiatives
• Familiarity with EPOS, inventory management and retail reporting systems
• Experience improving underperforming stores or developing retail management teams
