Job summary

Runwood Homes is seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to service care homes across North Essex. You will handle preparation, painting, wallpapering and minor repairs to keep homes safe, welcoming and well-maintained for residents and staff.

Applicants must have proven painting/decorating experience and hold a full driving licence. Travel between multiple sites is a key part of the role, with opportunities to contribute to ongoing maintenance and quality presentation.

Qualifications

• Previous painting and decorating experience is essential.
• A full driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out painting and decorating works across multiple care homes.
• Complete preparation, painting, wallpapering, and general decoration works to a high standard.
• Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks as required.
• Help maintain the appearance and condition of our care homes.
• Identify and report any maintenance issues requiring specialist attention.
• Work safely and efficiently while minimising disruption to residents and care home teams.
• Ensure all completed works meet the required standard of quality and presentation.
• Work cooperatively with care home teams and the wider facilities team.
• Travel between care homes across North Essex as required.
