Job summary

Hartford Care is seeking a skilled painter/decorator to service care homes in and around the M3 & M4 corridor. The role involves painting, maintenance tasks, and travel between sites, with a provided van and mileage reimbursement.

You will need a full clean driving licence and the ability to work at height, while adhering to Health & Safety regulations. Prior care setting experience is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Robust painting and decorating experience with attention to detail.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Ability to work at height.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
• Full and clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out painting and decorating tasks, including prep, repair and finish of internal and external areas.
• Work safely at height using ladders, scaffolding and access equipment.
• Keep work areas clean and minimise disruption to residents and staff.
• Support general maintenance tasks (e.g. plumbing, tiling, minor repairs).
• Travel between homes to support the maintenance team.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures at all times.
