Job summary

Hartford Care Limited is recruiting a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our friendly Maintenance Team across our care homes in Kent. Travel between homes is essential, so a driving licence and a vehicle are required.

You will handle all painting and decorating tasks, prepare, repair and finish internal and external areas, and work safely at height using ladders or scaffolding. A keen eye for detail and good communication are crucial.

Qualifications

• Robust painting and decorating experience with attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team, maintaining high skill and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Essential:

• Robust and high-quality painting and decorating experience with a keen eye for detail
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team, maintaining a high degree of skill and professionalism
• Ability to work at height
• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
• Full and clean driving licence

Desirable:

• Previous experience within a care setting
• Knowledge of working with people who live with dementia
• Previous experience of carrying out general maintenance tasks
• Good IT skills and knowledge including robust skills in using apps and systems on iPads and other IT equipment
