Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is assisting with an HR Advisor role for a CIPD-qualified HR professional to own a varied advisory position across 19 sites. You will provide day-to-day HR guidance to managers, directors and employees and help with recruitment, records management and policy implementation.

You will work with the HR Manager to ensure compliance with UK employment law and company policies, with occasional travel to branches and a proactive, detail-focused approach.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience in an HR Advisory role.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law, HR policies and best practice, with the ability to apply this knowledge practically.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including maintaining spreadsheets, analysing data, checking accuracy and producing reports.
• Confidence using HR systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email and other business systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate correspondence, records, reports and data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to communicate with people at all levels.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy HR environment.
• The ability to plan and prioritise your workload, take ownership and work to deadlines.
• A professional, proactive approach with the ability to work accurately and effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and practical HR advice and guidance to managers, directors and employees.
• Support the HR Manager with employee relations matters, including performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance processes.
• Ensure HR advice and processes are compliant with current employment legislation and company procedures.
• Provide HR support across multiple sites, with travel to branches when required.
• Assist with recruitment and onboarding activities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic employee records and HR documentation.
• Assist with the implementation and review of HR policies and procedures.
• Produce accurate HR reports, spreadsheets and employee data.
• Work collaboratively with the wider HR team to deliver a responsive and professional HR service.
