Job summary

Hoop Recruitment is assisting an educational organisation in recruiting an experienced HR Advisor for an eight-month temporary contract based in Usk, with travel to other sites as required.

You will provide high-quality HR guidance to managers across campuses, manage maternity cases, handle flexible-working requests, and oversee disciplinary and grievance investigations, ensuring compliant, timely processes and strong employee relations across a multi-site environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a generalist HR Advisor or similar role.
• Experience managing maternity cases, flexible-working requests, disciplinary investigations and grievance investigations.
• Knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification or progress towards relevant qualification.
• Full driving licence and access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical HR advice to managers across multiple campuses.
• Manage maternity cases and advise managers and employees throughout the process.
• Handle flexible-working requests fairly and in line with policy and employment law.
• Manage disciplinary and grievance investigations end-to-end.
• Advise on wider employee relations, contractual and employment matters.
• Coach managers to apply HR policies and procedures.
• Ensure formal processes are managed sensitively and within timescales.
• Build relationships with managers, employees and trade union representatives.
• Contribute to HR projects, policy reviews and continuous service improvements.
• Independently manage a busy workload across a multi-site organisation.
