Job summary

Euro Commercials (South Wales) Limited seeks a Health and Safety Manager for Avonmouth, Highbridge and Exeter to lead the H&S strategy across three depots.

You will develop and implement the Health & Safety Management System, ensure compliance with legislation, conduct site inspections and audits, and promote a proactive safety culture. The role requires NEBOSH certification, strong leadership, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH National General Certificate (minimum).
• Experience in a Health & Safety management role.
• Strong working knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and accident investigations.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Strong organisational and report-writing abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel regularly between all three sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Health & Safety Management System.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and standards.
• Maintain and review policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through leadership and engagement.
• Advise senior management on strategy and legal obligations.
• Conduct site inspections and formal audits across all locations.
• Monitor compliance with manufacturer standards and best practice.
• Carry out risk assessments and review safe systems of work.
• Investigate accidents and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver or coordinate Health & Safety training and inductions.
• Coordinate fire risk assessments and emergency procedures.
• Support health, wellbeing, and environmental initiatives.
• Manage contractor safety and documentation.
