Job summary

CV TECHNICAL LTD is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to take ownership of health and safety across two manufacturing sites. The role is based at Gloucester with regular travel to the second site in the Midlands/South West.

You will lead the safety management system, drive improvements, and advance the safety culture across the organisation. The ideal candidate will have a NEBOSH Diploma, 3+ years in HSE management, and hands-on experience with ISO 45001.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Occupational Safety qualification.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in HSE management or supervision.
• Experience with ISO 45001 or similar safety management systems.
• Experience conducting internal audits and supporting external audits.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Proactive and practical approach to continuous safety improvement.
• Ability to influence at all levels and drive behavioural change.

Responsibilities

• Lead and improve safety management systems (ISO 45001) across sites.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Run internal audits and support external audits.
• Maintain risk assessments, procedures and HSE manuals.
• Provide day-to-day HSE support to site management.
• Oversee contractor safety management and standards.
• Monitor compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Identify safety improvements and implement solutions.
• Foster a proactive safety culture across both sites.
• Collaborate with management to raise safety awareness.
• Support HSE training and communications.
• Ensure consistent safety standards at both locations.
