Job summary

Bristol Industrial is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting across four sites in the garden centre group. The role is hands-on, with leadership of a four-person accounts team and close collaboration with the Management Accountant.

You will own month-end processes, reconciliations, cash flow support, and financial reporting, while maintaining tight controls. Strong Excel skills and Sage experience are essential, along with a collaborative management style.

Qualifications

• Hands-on accounts background with month-end, reconciliations and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Experience leading an accounts team and providing coaching.
• Strong Excel skills and experience using Sage.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day accounts across four companies/sites.
• Leading and supporting the existing accounts staff (four-person team).
• Overseeing month-end processes, trial balances and reconciliations.
• Investigating discrepancies and variances.
• Managing sales, purchases, cash, banking and stock transactions.
• Handling monthly payroll and VAT records.
