Job summary

Happy Days Nurseries is seeking a detail-focused Management Accountant in Swindon to join the growing finance team. You will produce accurate monthly management accounts and cost reporting across our nursery portfolio, gathering and analysing data to help operational leaders understand performance.

Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, the role offers exposure to multi-site reporting, a path for progression, and a hybrid working pattern after the initial six months.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years' experience in accounting/management accounting in a multi-site setting.
• Proficient in Excel with formulas and pivot tables.
• Experience in financial reporting, reconciliations and variance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts for nursery sites.
• Produce site P&L and cost centre reporting.
• Analyse performance against budgets and prior periods.
• Investigate and explain cost and revenue variances.
• Monitor staffing costs and payroll data (FTE reporting).
• Support month-end process and management reporting cycle.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting.
