Job summary

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS FT is seeking a Team Lead Physiotherapist to join the MSK Outpatient Service. The role requires extensive MSK experience and leadership to oversee clinical governance, complex caseloads, waiting lists, and service development.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in physiotherapy or MSc with licence to practice
• HCPC registration
• Leadership training
• Significant post-registration MSK Outpatients experience
• Experience in leading a team
• Evidence of leading change in relation to Quality Improvement
• Experience in clinical audit, research and effectiveness
• Evidence of MDT working, multi-agency liaison with orthopaedics, GPs and consultants
• Excellent organisational and time management to manage day-to-day running of services
• Organise own workload and assist others to manage their caseloads
• Proactive problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow Trust policies on Data Protection, Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety

Responsibilities

• Provide operational management and leadership to the team
• Manage own caseload with high standard of assessment, management, treatment and advice
• Act as a point of contact for other agencies for Therapy provision
• Collaborate with health, social care, local authorities and other agencies to meet patient needs
• Ensure efficient and effective use of team resources
• Work with team in service development
• Ensure Clinical Governance is integral to service delivery
• Represent the Therapy Team and contribute to wider service development
• Manage performance within agreed KPIs
• Promote distributed leadership within the team and embed QII methods
