Job summary

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Team Lead Physiotherapist to manage day-to-day operations within the Physiotherapy Service. The role includes leading the outpatient team, handling referrals, and driving training and staff development.

You will take a lead role in advanced assessment and treatment of complex cases, delivering high-quality rehabilitation and supervising therapists, technicians, and assistants.

Qualifications

• Autonomous practitioner with clinical reasoning for complex cases (implied from responsibilities).
• Leadership and supervision of physiotherapy staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Physiotherapy Service.
• Lead referrals and treatment for the public in the Physiotherapy department.
• Oversee training and staff development.
• Lead advanced assessment, diagnosis and treatment of complex cases.
• Provide supervision and teaching to physiotherapists, technicians and assistants.
• Implement policy changes and set standards of practice.
• Undertake evidence-based projects and drive change in practice.
• Participate in service development across West Sussex, Brighton and Hove.
• Lead and deliver high-quality rehabilitation programmes.
