Job summary

Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking experienced MSK physiotherapists to deliver high-quality clinical care within a General Practice setting under the First Contact Practitioner model in a PCN.

You will be the first contact for patients with undiagnosed MSK disorders, performing assessment and diagnostics, providing diagnoses, appropriate self-care advice or onward referrals.

Qualifications

• Experienced MSK physiotherapist with primary care exposure.
• Proficiency in MSK investigations indications and limitations.
• Ability to work autonomously within a PCN FCP setting.

Responsibilities

• Direct the care pathway for patients with MSK disorders, including assessment and diagnostics.
• Provide diagnosis and self-care advice or onward referral as indicated.
• Support and train the PCN and wider FCP team, ensuring service delivery and improvement.
