Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated MS Service Coordinator to provide high-quality coordination and administrative support for the Multiple Sclerosis service at Basildon Hospital. This role involves acting as a single point of contact for patients, carers and professionals, coordinating DMT pathways and monitoring, and ensuring timely communication across the MDT.

Qualifications

• Significant administrative/coordination experience in healthcare or similar setting.
• IT skills: MS Office, databases, EPR systems; accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and run weekly MS MDTs (Basildon/Southend/Broomfield) or local MS/Neurology MDTs; record outcomes and chase actions.
• Coordinate referrals, investigations and follow-up actions to maintain safe patient flow.
• Maintain timely communication with patients and carers regarding appointments and pre-treatment requirements.
• Develop and maintain dedicated digital MS database for monitoring and pathway management.
