Job summary

Southend University Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an MDT Coordinator to support the Cancer Data Team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role focuses on coordinating multidisciplinary team meetings, ensuring data accuracy, and liaising with clinical and non-clinical staff to manage the cancer patient journey.

You will organise MDT schedules, prepare meeting materials, and maintain comprehensive records while prioritising workload to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality services.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of administrative experience.
• Experience with databases and understanding data collection processes.
• Ability to organise and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with clinical and non-clinical staff.
• High level of data accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Organise regular multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings with core members.
• Keep a comprehensive schedule of all MDT meetings.
• Notify core MDT members of cancellations or venue/date changes.
• Arrange provisions for MDT meetings including lunchtime sessions.
• Prepare and circulate MDT agendas prior to meetings.
• Ensure medical notes and diagnostic results are available for MDTs.
• Prepare MDT pro-forms and ensure radiology/pathology equipment is available and functioning.
• Ensure teleconferencing equipment works for multi-site links.
• Maintain attendance register for MDT meetings and record decisions on proformas.
