Job summary

Boeing Defence UK in the United Kingdom is seeking an Avionic Supervisor to join the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul team. You will supervise a small group of aircraft technicians, plan and distribute work, ensure process adherence and timely paperwork in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Reporting to an Operations Lead, you will provide leadership, interpret technical drawings and publications, and maintain high standards of Airmanship, Health & Safety, and on-time workload

Qualifications

• Must have supervisory authorisations on the aircraft type being worked on
• Ability to supervise, plan, sequence and control technical work for technicians
• Strong communication and collaboration within a team and with regulators

The role of the Avionic Supervisor position will form part of a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organisation within BDUK, working as part of a team in support of our key programmes. The individual will be responsible for ensuring established process adherence, accurate and timely work recording and contractual/regulatory compliance. Reporting to an Operations Lead, this role provides direct control, oversight, mentoring and is responsible for carrying out supervision of technicians in the execution of their maintenance activities. Will have a proven technical knowledge and the ability to supervise, plan, sequence, distribute and control technical work for a small group of aircraft technicians. Will be able to provide effective leadership, direction and guidance as and when required. Will ensure the standards/certification of all associated aircraft paperwork completed by their team has been completed IAW company procedures. Must hold or be able to obtain company supervisory authorisations on the aircraft type being worked on, independent inspections and fulfil their individual tasks within the scope of their authorisation. Will adopt a collaborative approach to their work and role model Airmanship, Husbandry and H&S practise within their teams. The role requires an individual with good communication skills, with the ability to distribute and sequence technical work requirements to their team, controlling demanding workloads, whilst delivering to a high standard, and maintaining schedule.
