Job summary

Boeing Company in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced MRO Delivery Manager (AAC Middle Wallop) to lead Maintenance Operations and support the MOD customer on Vertical Lift platforms. You will oversee a multidiscipline team, drive on-time delivery, budget adherence and first-time quality, while coordinating with CAMO, Supply Chain and Programme functions.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager or similar).
• Experience in aircraft maintenance operations is preferred, especially UK defence or commercial context.
• Ability to apply technical and human factors knowledge to lead maintenance staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multidiscipline team delivering aircraft and/or component maintenance on time and within budget.
• Implement and maintain the MRP 145 Production plan and schedule adherence.
• Engage with Supply Chain, CAMO, and Programme to deliver maintenance outputs.
• Plan medium- and long-term resources; monitor day-to-day operational activity.
• Prioritise maintenance output with the customer and allocate staff accordingly.
• Lead continuous improvement workshops and drive corrective actions for quality and safety.

Job description

We are looking for a MRO Delivery Manager (AAC Middle Wallop) to work within our Maintenance Operations environment, alongside our MOD customer on Vertical Lift platforms. Reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager (Form 4 Holder), the Delivery Manager provides full accountability and management of the aircraft Maintenance Operations, Maintenance Support or Maintenance Workshop areas by having direct control, oversight and leadership of a multidiscipline team.,

• Leading and managing a team in delivering aircraft and/or aircraft component maintenance to the customer, on time, to budget with first time quality standards.
• Implementing and maintaining an MRP 145 Production team and adherence of the plan/Schedule
• Regular engagement with BDUK Supply Chain, Production Service Engineers, CAMO, Commercial and Programme in the delivery of aircraft and/or component maintenance.
• Medium- and Long-term resource planning
• Day-to-day monitoring and coordination of all operational teams
• Work alongside the customer and other BDUK MRO Managers for the prioritisation of maintenance output and allocation of staff within a BDUK 145.
• Actively encourage, lead and participate in Continuous Improvement workshops, to identify and address inefficiencies.
• Respond to quality and safety deficiencies and lead the corrective actions and associated documentation changes.
• Management, mentoring and development of the aircraft maintainers and supporting staff within your team associated tasks for your direct reports
• Identify and produce output focused metrics, reporting to Operations leadership and Programme Management.
  Fluent written and spoken English
• Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."

Preferred Experience:

• Demonstrable experience of aircraft maintenance operations, in a UK Defence or commercial context.
• The ability to provide knowledge-based leadership/oversight and apply both technical and human factors (HF) knowledge, with regard to the running and control of maintenance staff, against industry and organisational requirements.
• A good communicator, technical and non-technical, with the ability to effectively engage across multiple Functions and levels, both internally and with the customer.
• A working knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles (RA), MAA Regulatory Publication (MRP) Part 145, BDUK MRP 145 MOE, aviation Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Management System (SMS) processes, and the application of these requirements within their area of accountability, responsibility and authority
• Capable of understanding and interpreting Technical Documents, Technical Drawings and/or associated Authorised Technical Publications (ATP's), to provide guidance to their team/s if necessary
• Familiarity with supply, quality and safety systems with knowledge of military maintenance practices and procedures desirable.
• Ability to mentor and coach team members and develop productive relationships with direct reports.
