Job Description

This role is categorized as onsite, requiring the successful candidate to report to Concord, NC on a full-time basis.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Processing Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your primary responsibility will be to develop complex data pipelines and data-processing systems to enhance our aerodynamics development activities for motorsport and high-performance production vehicles. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, designing, developing, and optimizing solutions to address technical challenges, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

What You’ll Do
  • Architect, design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines for large volumes of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and other teams to integrate data from various platforms and systems, including on-premises and cloud databases, data lakes, APIs, and third-party vendors.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality through automated validation and monitoring.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in data workflows to ensure fast and reliable processing.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective data solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, specifications, and presentations to stakeholders.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, Java.
  • Experience with data tools like Kafka, Flink, Databricks.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems management tools such as SLURM, LSF.
  • Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MongoDB).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Additional considerations include eligibility for relocation benefits.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in relevant fields.
  • Experience in motorsports industry.
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and security.
  • Experience with HPC architecture and Data Acquisition systems.
  • Skills in developing live streaming data pipelines and aerodynamic testing.
