Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Processing Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your primary responsibility will be to develop complex data pipelines and data-processing systems that enhance the productivity and capabilities of our aerodynamics development activities for both motorsport and high-performance production vehicles. As a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and optimizing state-of-the-art solutions to tackle challenging technical obstacles. Your role is crucial and will significantly contribute to our competitiveness.

What You’ll Do
  • Architect, design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines to process and transform large volumes of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and other teams to integrate data from various platforms and systems (e.g., on-prem and cloud databases, data lakes, APIs, third-party vendors).
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality through automated validation and monitoring processes.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks in data workflows and optimize systems for fast and reliable processing.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Data Scientists, Product Managers, Engineers, Aerodynamicists) to translate business requirements into data solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices in software engineering.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, specifications, and presentations to stakeholders.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, Java
  • Experience with data processing tools such as Kafka, Flink, Databricks
  • Knowledge of distributed computing management systems like SLURM, LSF
  • Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MongoDB)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
  • Experience in motorsports industry
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy, security best practices
  • Experience with HPC architecture
  • Hands-on with instrumentation and Data Acquisition systems
  • Experience developing Live Streaming data pipelines
  • Familiarity with aerodynamic testing and practices
