Job Description:

Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite, requiring reporting to Concord, NC on a full-time basis.

The Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Processing Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your primary responsibility will be to develop complex data pipelines and data-processing systems to enhance aerodynamics development activities for motorsport and high-performance production vehicles. You will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and optimizing solutions to tackle challenging technical obstacles, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

What You’ll Do:
  1. Architect, design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
  2. Collaborate with data engineers and teams to integrate data from various platforms and systems.
  3. Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality through automated validation and monitoring.
  4. Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks in data workflows.
  5. Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into data solutions.
  6. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
  7. Prepare and present technical reports and specifications to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, Java.
  • Experience with Kafka, Flink, Databricks.
  • Managing distributed systems like SLURM, LSF.
  • Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in relevant fields.
  • Experience in motorsports industry.
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and security.
  • Experience with HPC architecture and Data Acquisition systems.
  • Experience developing Live Streaming data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with aerodynamic testing.
