Job Description

This onsite role requires the successful candidate to report to Concord, NC on a full-time basis.

The Role

We seek a highly skilled Senior Data Processing Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your main responsibility will be to develop complex data pipelines and processing systems to support our aerodynamics development for motorsport and high-performance vehicles. You will be integral to designing, developing, and optimizing solutions to address technical challenges, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

What You’ll Do
  1. Architect, design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for large volumes of data.
  2. Integrate data from various sources, including on-premises and cloud systems.
  3. Ensure data integrity and quality through automated validation and monitoring.
  4. Optimize data workflows for performance and reliability.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into data solutions.
  6. Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following best practices.
  7. Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years in data engineering or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, Java.
  • Experience with Kafka, Flink, Databricks.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems like SLURM, LSF.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent collaboration skills.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in relevant fields.
  • Experience in motorsports industry.
  • Knowledge of data governance, HPC architecture, instrumentation, and Data Acquisition systems.
  • Experience with live streaming data pipelines and aerodynamic testing.
