Job summary

Alpine Formula One Team in Enstone is offering a one-year student placement in Simulation Development. You will help develop, test, and deploy simulation software used across engineering departments.

You'll work with simulation engineers, software developers, and performance analysts to ensure tools are accurate, efficient, and user-friendly. The role requires studying a relevant engineering degree, strong programming skills, and an understanding of simulation techniques.

Qualifications

• Currently studying a degree in Computer Science, Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or Motorsport Engineering and seeking an industry placement in your penultimate year of university.
• Strong programming skills.
• Good understanding of simulation techniques and numerical methods; knowledge of vehicle dynamics desirable.
• Experience with software development tools and version control systems.
• Passion for motorsport and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship not available.
• Be available to attend onsite for an assessment centre in September.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining simulation tools and frameworks
• Support the integration of simulation software with engineering workflows
• Help validate simulation outputs against real-world data
• Contribute to documentation, testing and user support
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure simulation tools meet performance and usability requirements
