Job summary

Jaguar TCS Racing is seeking a driven engineer to support the Controls Group in developing test hardware and software for our powertrain programs. You will work with Controls and Systems Engineers to ensure requirements are met and results are well documented.

The role requires strong organisation, clear communication, and flexibility to travel to race events as needed, supporting a world-class motorsport program with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• GCSE/High School diploma or equivalent.
• BEng in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Be highly organised and comfortable working under pressure.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible attitude to working hours.
• Follow and enforce health and HV safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and testing of in-house test rig and vehicle control hardware and software.
• Collaborate with Controls and Systems Engineers to meet test requirements and summarise results.
• Write and maintain technical documentation to support safe operation of test hardware.
• Occasionally travel to race and test events to support powertrain hardware development.

About The Role

Working within the Controls Group to support the ongoing development of our test hardware, processes and procedures. With the sole aim of supporting the delivery of a world-class product to our race programs.

What you will do

• Support the development and testing of our in-house test rig and vehicle control hardware and software;
• Work with the Controls and Systems Engineers to ensure the test requirements are achieved and summarised;
• Write and maintain technical documentation to support the safe and efficient operation of test hardware;
• Available to travel to race and test events on an occasionally basis to support the development of our powertrain hardware.

About You

• GCSE, High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Further education including BEng in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Be highly organised and comfortable working under pressure.
• Have clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible attitude to working hours.
• To follow and actively enforce the company's health and Safety and HV policies.
