Job summary

Xtrac, the world-leading motorsport transmissions specialist, is seeking a Controls Software Engineer to join the High Performance Mechatronics division. You will lead embedded software and calibration projects, collaborating with Systems Engineers, customers and suppliers to define requirements and deliver robust control software.

You will model-based design in Simulink/ASCET, code in C/Python, and support on-vehicle testing and field deployments across international locations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Software, Mechatronics or Engineering related field.
• Proven hands-on experience in software and calibration projects, ideally in automotive or motorsport.
• Proficiency with Simulink, ASCET, C, Python, CANape, INCA, Jira, Polarion and Git.
• Knowledge of automotive protocols and data analysis for system performance.
• Safety-critical systems and ISO 26262 awareness.

Responsibilities

• Deliver embedded software projects with internal teams, customers and third-party suppliers.
• Model-based design in Simulink or ASCET, or hand-coding in C or Python.
• Calibration activities on test rigs or with customers on-vehicle.
• Support the customer in the field in international locations.
• Support hardware tests in-house or at external test facilities.
• Develop the toolchain and skill-sets within Xtrac.
