Job summary

Vertu BMW York is seeking a skilled Motorcycle Technician to join our modern workshop and uphold our reputation for technical excellence and excellent customer service. You’ll service, diagnose and repair BMW motorcycles, perform health checks, and complete all records accurately.

You will work in a supportive team with access to manufacturer training and career progression opportunities, in a premium brand environment. A full motorcycle licence and relevant qualifications are essential.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
City & Guilds or equivalent
Full motorcycle licence
Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
Commitment to quality workmanship and customer service
MOT licence (advantageous)

Responsibilities

Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on BMW motorcycles.
Diagnose faults using manufacturer technology and equipment.
Complete vehicle health checks and identify additional work.
Conduct inspections per manufacturer and DVSA standards.
Road test motorcycles and ensure high quality workmanship.
Complete workshop documentation accurately.
Work efficiently to hit productivity targets while maintaining safety.
Deliver outstanding customer experience through workmanship.

AtVertu BMW York, we're expanding and looking for a skilled Motorcycle Technician to join our successful and growing team

What you'll be doing

As a Motorcycle Technician, you'll play a key role in maintaining our reputation for exceptional customer service and technical excellence. Working within our modern workshop, you'll be responsible for:

Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on new and used BMW motorcycles.
Diagnosing faults using the latest manufacturer technology and equipment.
Completing vehicle health checks and identifying additional work where required.
Conducting inspections in line with manufacturer and DVSA standards.
Road testing motorcycles and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.
Accurately completing all workshop documentation and job records.
Working efficiently to achieve productivity targets while maintaining excellent quality and safety standards.
Delivering an outstanding customer experience through high-quality workmanship.

What we're looking for

We're keen to hear from experienced Motorcycle Technicians, however we also welcome applications from Vehicle or Commercial Technicians who have motorcycle experience and are looking to specialise in this exciting sector.

You’ll ideally have:

A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds or equivalent.
A full motorcycle licence.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
A commitment to delivering quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
An MOT licence (advantageous but not essential).

Previous franchise experience would be beneficial but isn't essential.
