Job summary
Vertu BMW York is seeking a skilled Motorcycle Technician to join our modern workshop and uphold our reputation for technical excellence and excellent customer service. You’ll service, diagnose and repair BMW motorcycles, perform health checks, and complete all records accurately.
You will work in a supportive team with access to manufacturer training and career progression opportunities, in a premium brand environment. A full motorcycle licence and relevant qualifications are essential.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
- City & Guilds or equivalent
- Full motorcycle licence
- Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
- Commitment to quality workmanship and customer service
- MOT licence (advantageous)
Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on BMW motorcycles.
- Diagnose faults using manufacturer technology and equipment.
- Complete vehicle health checks and identify additional work.
- Conduct inspections per manufacturer and DVSA standards.
- Road test motorcycles and ensure high quality workmanship.
- Complete workshop documentation accurately.
- Work efficiently to hit productivity targets while maintaining safety.
- Deliver outstanding customer experience through workmanship.
