Job summary

Northgate Vehicle Hire is seeking a Vehicle Technician at our Sheffield branch. You will maintain and repair a diverse fleet to ensure safety and legal compliance for hire. The role includes handling walk-ins and fleet client work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be Level 2 Qualified Technician with at least 3 years employment as a technician/mechanic.
• Level 3 Technician / Mechanic is also suitable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles to ensure they are safe and legally compliant for customers to hire.
• Assist with walk-ins, national accounts, councils and fleet clients; work in a fast-paced branch environment.

Salary

£43,639k pa OTE (basic £37,639k pa + £6,000 pa bonus OTE + Overtime)

Weekly Hours

42.5 hours / Day Shifts Only (Mon-Fri 8.00-5.30 and one Saturday per month 8am-12pm). As and when required overtime is available and this is paid at time and half.

About you

As a Vehicle Technician you are responsible for the maintenance and repair of our vehicles to ensure they are safe and legally compliant for our customers to hire. If you are Level 2 Qualified Technician with at least 3 years employment as a technician/mechanic or fully qualified Level 3 Technician / Mechanic, we would love to hear from you.

About our training

We have our own internal IMI accredited training department, where we can upskill you on such things as Hybrid & EV vehicle repair, Tail lift, braking systems, electrics etc:

For those trained to Level 2, you can take a training needs analysis so we can build a personalised training program for you to increase your skillset.
