Job summary

Red Dot Search in Bolton is seeking a motivated Motor Claims Handler to join our FCA-regulated general insurance team. You will handle third party vehicle and property damage claims with dedicated in-house training and a clear progression path.

Working 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with fully funded CII qualifications, 29 days holiday (rising to 36), free parking and strong benefits. This is an on-site role with a supportive training environment.

Qualifications

• Some claims experience — motor, FNOL, personal injury, RTA, credit hire or accident management.
• If you are a PI or RTA handler, you already argue liability and negotiate with solicitors.
• Confident on the phone and in writing, and able to stand your ground.
• Good attention to detail across multiple systems.
• GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
• Willing to work towards the CII Certificate — fully funded.

Responsibilities

• Handling third party vehicle and property damage claims from notification to resolution.
• Investigating liability and determining who was at fault with supporting evidence.
• Managing credit hire claims: validating periods, rates, and ensuring they stack up.
• Speaking with policyholders, solicitors, insurers and accident management companies.
• Spotting discrepancies and escalating issues as needed.
• Maintaining caseloads to meet service standards.
