Job summary

Red Dot Search in Bolton is recruiting an experienced Motor Claims Handler to take ownership of FNOL and accidental damage claims. The role is on-site at BL7, with 35 hours, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, no evenings or weekends.

You will manage FNOL and settlement of accidental damage, liaise with engineers and repairers, assess liability, and communicate clearly with policyholders and brokers. Fully funded CII training is provided, plus a dedicated trainer.

Qualifications

• Solid motor claims experience including FNOL and/or accidental damage.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and justify liability decisions.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills; patient under pressure.
• GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.

Responsibilities

• Taking FNOL motor claims, capturing the detail properly first time and setting the customer's expectations honestly.
• Handling accidental damage claims through to settlement — engineers, repairers, salvage, courtesy cars, third parties.
• Investigating liability and validating cover, and making the settlement decision.
• Running your own caseload by phone and in writing, keeping every file moving.
• Being the person the policyholder and the broker actually want to speak to.
• Identifying fraud indicators and escalating them.
