Job summary

Verisk Analytics, Inc. is seeking a Motor Claims Handler to own the final stage of the credit hire claim process. You will investigate claims, challenge charges, and negotiate settlements to minimise costs for customers, reviewing hire, storage and recovery charges and ensuring rates and periods are reasonable.

Training is provided, with a Monday–Friday workweek and hybrid working once competency is reached, in a global analytics leader focused on risk and insurance solutions.

Responsibilities

• Acquire expert knowledge of credit hire laws, rules and protocols
• Manage your own caseload efficiently to achieve monthly targets both individually and as part of the team
• Negotiate and settle claims by agreement wherever possible
• Review hire, storage and recovery timelines, rates and claimed periods to ensure they are reasonable and not exaggerated
• Request and review supporting documentation to shape an effective settlement strategy
• Communicate with all relevant parties by phone, email or letter, providing a professional standard of service to internal and external customers
• Nominate or instruct solicitors when required
• Identify potential fraud indicators and escalated or manage them appropriately
• Handle inbound and outbound calls
• Keep a high standard of work, with clear, detailed case notes, to meet internal and external audit requirements
