Davies in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Motor Claims Handler to join our Casualty team. You will manage claims from initial intake through settlement, recording on our digital system and liaising with loss adjusters as needed.

Competenze

• Experience with policy wording and terms
• Knowledge of insurance market dynamics
• Ability to value an injury claim
• Familiarity with Claims Portal desirable
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a team and manage own workload
• Adaptable and flexible with good planning

Mansioni

• Establish if cover is in place for the claim
• Record all claims on the digital claims handling system
• Investigate all liability claims from the desk or by instructing loss adjusters
• Make the decision on liability
• Negotiate settlement of the claim
• Ensure compliance with all legal timescales and client SLAs
• Build relationships with external clients and stakeholders
• Provide referral support to less experienced colleagues
