Davies Group is recruiting a Claims Handler to join our Motor Claims team. As a Handler, you will be the first point of contact for our customers via telephone. You should be a great communicator, dedicated to providing professional and empathetic service, with experience in commercial motor claims. The Claims Handler will manage a caseload of pre-litigated motor claims, including personal injury, from inception to settlement.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively manage a caseload of motor claims
- Maintain accurate data on relevant case management systems
- Comply with set client SLAs
- Ensure quality service standards and productivity levels are maintained
- Allocate new claims and develop strategies
- Perform supervisory tasks appropriate to the level
- Assist with training and mentoring junior team members
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Team Leader
- Attend client review meetings and assist with client project work as applicable
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Minimum 5 years claims handling experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Supervisory experience is desirable
- Ability to manage own workload effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong client relationship skills
