**Department:** Claims Management

**Location:** Glasgow (Hybrid: attendance at least once per week)

**Hours:** 35 hours/week, Monday - Friday

Our Opportunity

Davies is seeking an experienced Claims Handler to join our growing Casualty team. As a Claims Handler, you will provide a proactive, comprehensive claims service to our clients, aligned with insurer philosophy. We value transferable skills and will provide full training and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish claim cover
  • Utilize digital claims systems
  • Investigate liability claims, consult loss adjusters as needed
  • Decide on liability
  • Negotiate settlements
  • Ensure compliance with legal timescales and SLAs
  • Build relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Support less experienced colleagues
Skills and Knowledge
  • Understanding of policy wording and insurance market
  • Ability to value injury claims
  • Knowledge of reserving philosophies, Civil Procedure Rules, and Claims Portal
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
