Job summary

Formula One Autocentres is looking for an MOT Tester to conduct DVSA-standard MOT tests on light vehicles and log results in the DVSA system. You will fit products and provide ancillary services while maintaining a clean centre and contributing to sales.

The ideal candidate holds a DVSA MOT Tester licence and has experience in a busy automotive retail setting, with flexibility and good communication skills. Working hours are discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• All MOT Testers must hold a valid MOT Tester licence issued by DVSA.
• Experience in busy retail automotive environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• MOT test light vehicles to DVSA standards and input results on the DVSA system.
• Fit products specified by the Company to customer vehicles and perform ancillary services.
• Maintain cleanliness of the Centre and equipment.
• Support sales of products and services in line with procedures.

Job description

• All MOT Testers must hold a valid MOT Tester licence which is issued by the DVSA
• To carry out MOT test to DVSA standard and input the details on the DVSA computer system
• To fit any product specified by the Company to customer vehicles and carry out a range of ancillary services to customer vehicles
• To maintain the cleanliness of the Centre and its equipment on an ongoing basis
• To increase sales of products and services offered by the Company, in accordance with procedures
• To adhere to the Company's Policy & Procedures
• To comply with reasonable instructions from Management
• The company will supply you with uniform, it must be clean and presentable at all times
• To be available for work at the times specified by the Company

The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to tasks and be able to manage their own workload, be an excellent communicator with proven experience of working in a busy retail environment in an automotive setting.

The main objective of the role will be to MOT test light vehicles as set out by DVSA in a safe and efficient manner. The successful candidate will be part of a small team, but should be equally happy working on their own and should take a great degree of pride in carrying out tasks to an extremely high standard.

The Company's normal opening times are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.00pm, Saturday 8.30am hours to 5.00pm hours and Sunday 10.00am to 4.00pm. Working hours to be discussed at interview

Salary: Dependent on experience
