Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations and standards.

• Assist the workshop team when required.

About the Role

Our client, a leading automotive service and repair business, is seeking a qualified MOT Tester to join their established workshop in Chipping Sodbury.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out MOT inspections to DVSA standards, ensuring vehicles are safe and roadworthy while delivering a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct MOT tests in line with current DVSA regulations and standards
• Identify and accurately report vehicle defects, advisories, and failures
• Communicate MOT outcomes and repair recommendations clearly and professionally
• Maintain accurate testing records and workshop documentation
• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the MOT process
• Assist the wider workshop team when required
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety procedures

Candidate Requirements

• A valid MOT Testing Licence
• A full UK driving licence
• Previous experience working as an MOT Tester
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on vehicle safety
• Good communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A positive and proactive attitude towards supporting colleagues and customers
