Autotech-Recruit-Limited seeks an experienced MOT Tester to join a busy, well‑established workshop in Huntingdon. You will conduct MOT inspections, identify defects, and advise on repairs while upholding DVSA standards and vehicle safety.

Salary ranges from £36,000 to £42,000 OTE with a realistic monthly bonus (£400–£500). The role includes healthcare, online GP access, cycle-to-work, life assurance, EAP, and ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a leading automotive service and repair business, is looking to recruit an experienced MOT Tester to join their high-performing workshop in Huntingdon.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct MOT tests in accordance with current DVSA regulations and standards
• Identify and accurately report vehicle defects, failures, and advisories
• Communicate MOT outcomes and repair recommendations clearly and professionally
• Maintain accurate documentation and testing records
• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the MOT process
• Support the wider workshop team when required
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and health & safety procedures

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will have:

• A valid MOT Testing Licence
• A full UK driving licence
• Previous experience working as an MOT Tester
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to vehicle safety
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment
• A positive, team-oriented approach and willingness to support colleagues
