Recruit 4U Ltd in the UK is seeking a skilled Full-time MOT Tester to join our automotive service team in Basingstoke. You will conduct MOT inspections to ensure safety and environmental standards, requiring a full UK driving licence and an active MOT card.

Working Monday to Friday 8:30–17:30, starting salary £42,000 rising to £45,000 after probation, with a bonus potential taking OTE to £50,000. The role involves hands‑on testing, documentation, and collaboration with customers to explain

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct MOT tests on various vehicle makes and models, adhering to legal and safety standards.
• Inspect brakes, suspension, lights, tyres, and exhaust systems.
• Identify defects that may cause MOT failure and communicate findings to customers or management.
• Complete inspection documentation accurately and maintain records for each inspection.
• Ensure testing equipment is calibrated and maintained for optimal performance.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations during testing procedures.
• Assist with basic vehicle maintenance tasks when required.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Full time permanent MOT Tester to join our automotive service team in Basingstoke.

Must hold a full Uk driving licence, tools and Live mot card. You must have the right to work in the uk as there is NO possibility of a work sponsorship for this role.

Monday - Friday 8.30 - 17.30 starting salary £42,000 rising to £45,000 after 3 months probationary period - plus bonus Ote £50,000

The successful Mot tetser will be responsible for conducting vehicle safety inspections in accordance with legal standards, ensuring vehicles meet required safety and environmental criteria. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive maintenance and a keen eye for detail to contribute to vehicle safety and compliance.

Responsibilities of a Mot Tester

• Conduct thorough MOT tests on a variety of vehicle makes and models, adhering strictly to legal and safety standards.
• Inspect key vehicle components including brakes, suspension, lights, tyres, and exhaust systems.
• Identify any defects or issues that may cause the vehicle to fail the MOT test and communicate findings clearly to customers or management.
• Complete all necessary documentation accurately and maintain detailed records of each inspection.
• Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated and maintained regularly for optimal performance.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during testing procedures.
• Assist with general vehicle maintenance tasks when required, including minor repairs or adjustments.
