Job summary

Hawk Hiring is seeking a qualified MOT Tester in Peterborough to join a high-volume independent facility. The role covers Class 4 and Class 7 MOT tests, with pre-MOT checks, minor repairs, and routine servicing in a modern workshop.

You will log tests, advise customers, and maintain DVSA-compliant standards while working a Monday–Friday schedule with Saturday rotas. A competitive package includes 20 days’ leave, parking, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• DVSA approved MOT tester with active DVSA Smart Card.
• Experience performing Class 4 and Class 7 MOT tests.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to communicate with front-of-house staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct strict, accurate Class 4 (and Class 7, if certified) MOT tests in line with DVSA guidelines.
• Perform pre-MOT checks, light fast-fit repairs, and routine servicing.
• Communicate test results and repair recommendations to service advisers clearly.
• Maintain digital test logs and ensure MOT bay equipment is compliant.
• Uphold health, safety and cleanliness standards in the testing area.
