Job summary

Hawk Hiring is recruiting a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester for a modern workshop in Letchworth. You will handle servicing, MOTs, diagnostics and complex overhauls across a wide range of vehicles.

The role offers a competitive salary (£35k–£42k) with a Mon-Fri 08:00–17:00 schedule and one Saturday morning per month, plus access to dealer-level diagnostic systems and ongoing technical development in a stable independent business.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional workshop experience.
• NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Valid full UK Driving Licence and active DVSA MOT Tester Licence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine servicing and official MOT tests to DVSA standards.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical faults with modern diagnostic software.
• Perform major mechanical overhauls including engines, gearboxes and suspensions.
• Deliver high-standard workmanship across diverse vehicle makes and models.
