Job summary

Hawk Hiring is recruiting for a senior vehicle technician in the Rugby area. You will conduct DVSA DVSA Class 4 MOT tests, perform servicing and diagnostics across cars and light commercials, and lead critical repairs with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Applicants should hold an active MOT tester licence, have 7–8+ years in workshop roles, and be proficient with modern diagnostic tools. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Active, valid DVSA MOT Tester Licence required.
• 7–8+ years of hands-on workshop experience in vehicle servicing and diagnostics.
• Strong fault-finding on modern diagnostic suites and drivetrains.
• Full valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct official Class 4 MOT tests in full compliance with DVSA standards
• Perform routine vehicle servicing, maintenance, and health checks across passenger cars and light commercial vehicles
• Execute complex diagnostic fault-finding and root-cause analysis on mechanical, electrical, and emissions systems
• Lead or assist with heavy technical tasks, including DPF recovery, pressure testing, brake overhauls, and engine overhauls
• Maintain precise electronic workshop records and uphold high right-first-time quality standards
• Collaborate with a close-knit team of technicians to keep repair turnarounds fast and transparent
