Job summary

Clear Automotive Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester to join a well-established vehicle repairer in Castleford. You will carry out MOT tests, servicing and repairs in a modern workshop with a strong focus on workmanship and customer service.

The role offers a Monday–Friday, 40-hour week with competitive pay and a clear pathway to OTE. Immediate start available, with onsite parking and pension/Holiday Pay benefits.

Qualifications

• A valid DVSA MOT Tester Licence (essential).
• Previous MOT Tester experience in a dealership, independent garage or workshop.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with servicing/repairs experience.
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Excellent understanding of DVSA testing procedures and current legislation.
• Positive attitude and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA standards.
• Inspect vehicles, diagnose faults and identify repairs.
• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs where needed.
• Record MOT results accurately using the DVSA testing system.
• Produce clear and accurate inspection reports.
• Advise on defects or additional repair work.
• Fit parts and perform other workshop duties as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Work independently and as part of a busy workshop team.
• Ensure all work meets manufacturer and company standards.

MOT Tester Clear Automotive Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester to join a well-established Vehicle Repairer in Castleford. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional dealership offering a fantastic work-life balance with Monday to Friday with limited weekend work. Working within a modern, fully equipped workshop, you'll be responsible for carrying out MOT inspections, servicing and mechanical repairs on a range of prestige vehicles while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and customer service.

The Role

As an MOT Tester, your responsibilities will include:

To be successful in this role, you'll have:
