Job summary

Clear Automotive Recruitment is recruiting an experienced MOT Tester to join a professional vehicle repair operation in Castleford. The role is on-site with a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, offering a clear progression path and a strong team culture.

You will perform Class 4 MOT tests to DVSA standards, carry out servicing and repairs on a range of prestige vehicles, and ensure quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• DVSA MOT Tester Licence is essential.
• Experience as an MOT Tester in a dealership, independent garage or automotive workshop.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience carrying out servicing and repairs.
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Excellent understanding of DVSA testing procedures and current legislation.
• A positive attitude and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Class 4 MOT tests in line with current DVSA standards and regulations.
• Inspecting vehicles, diagnosing faults and identifying repairs required.
• Completing servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs where necessary.
• Recording MOT test results accurately using the DVSA testing system.
• Producing clear and accurate inspection reports.
• Advising on any defects or additional repair work required.
• Fitting parts and carrying out additional workshop duties as required.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Working both independently and as part of a busy workshop team.
• Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer and company standards.

Working within a modern, fully equipped workshop, you'll be responsible for carrying out MOT inspections, servicing and mechanical repairs on a range of prestige vehicles while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and customer service.

The Role
