Octane Recruitment in Dover, Kent is seeking an experienced MOT Tester to join a busy dealership workshop. You will carry out Class 4 MOT tests to DVSA standards, perform vehicle inspections and light servicing when required, and ensure accurate MOT documentation. A supportive team and clear career progression are offered.

Applicants must hold a current MOT Tester Licence, have at least 2 years’ experience, and a full UK driving licence. DVSA knowledge and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Current and valid MOT Tester Licence essential.
• Minimum 2 years' experience working as an MOT Tester.
• Full UK Driving Licence supportive for role.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Class 4 MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations.
• Complete thorough vehicle inspections and identify repair requirements.
• Carry out light servicing and maintenance when required.
• Ensure all MOT testing documentation is completed accurately.
• Maintain full compliance with DVSA standards and procedures.
• Liaise with Vehicle Technicians and Service Advisors regarding repairs.
• Carry out road tests when necessary.
• Maintain high productivity while ensuring quality standards.
• Keep workshop and MOT areas clean and compliant with Health & Safety.

Location Dover, Kent

Salary £35,000 Basic

Working Hours Monday to Friday, 8:30am 5:30pm, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced MOT Tester to join a busy and established main dealership in the Dover area. The successful MOT Tester will be responsible for carrying out Class 4 MOT tests to DVSA standards, alongside vehicle inspections and light servicing and maintenance when required.

MOT Tester Role

• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience within a dealership or busy workshop environment would be advantageous.
• Professional attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
