Job summary

Octane Recruitment is advertising an experienced MOT Tester for a busy main dealership in the Dover area. The role focuses on carrying out Class 4 MOT tests to DVSA standards, performing thorough inspections and light servicing when needed.

You will maintain DVSA documentation, liaise with technicians and service advisors, and keep the workshop clean and compliant. A current MOT Licence and UK driving licence are essential, with at least two years’ hands-on MOT testing experience.

Qualifications

• Current and valid MOT Tester Licence essential.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as an MOT Tester.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Good understanding of DVSA regulations and testing procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Class 4 MOT tests in accordance with current DVSA regulations.
• Complete thorough vehicle inspections and identify any repair requirements.
• Carry out light servicing and maintenance work when required.
• Ensure all MOT testing documentation is completed accurately.
• Maintain full compliance with DVSA standards and procedures.
• Liaise with Vehicle Technicians and Service Advisors regarding identified repairs.
• Carry out road tests when necessary.
• Maintain high levels of productivity while ensuring quality standards.
• Keep the workshop and MOT testing areas clean, organised and compliant with Health & Safety requirements.

Salary £35,000 Basic

Working Hours Monday to Friday, 8:30am 5:30pm, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays
